The Assyrian Shepherd Dog (Other name, Kurdish Dog Shepherd, Pshdar dog) his history goes back more than 6000 years. It is an ancient breed having been used for thousands of years in Asia Minor in the fights and for animal protection. His ancestors were connected with the mastiffs mentioned in the Assyrian art. Kurdish Breeders Club Pshdar states that ancient Assyrians and Babylonians bred them for protection against wild animals, particularly lions and tigers, later on these dogs guarded herds of cattle and dwellings of the shepherds against wolves, bears and jackals.

پرخاشجو ، پرقدرت و با اعتماد به نفس بالا می توانند به هر حریفی حتی حیوانات وحشی مثل گرگ و گراز هم حمله کنند.

قدرت فک بسیار بالایی دارند و وقتی چیزی را گاز می گیرند دیگر ول نمیکنند و به اصطلاح دهنشان را قفل میکنند.

Kurd mastiff (Pshdar) is a type of mastiff, often used as guard dogs and for protection of flocks of sheep and goats from predators. This race is the oldest breed of dogs in the Asian region. Inscriptions made from the Babylonian and Assyrian civilizations prove this claim (3000 BC). These inscriptions are kept in the Louvre museum and the British Museum of London. The dog is found in Iran in the cities of Mahabad, Bukan, Saqez, Sanandaj, Piranshahr and most of the cities of West Azerbaijan and parts of Kurdistan, and there are Iraqis in the Iraqi Kurdistan such as the city of Pshdar, and some of them are considered as Pzhdar or Pshdar.

The coats of Kurd mastiffs can be yellow, white, red, burgundy, blue and black colors. The breed has loose skin, large jowls, and non-cartilaginous (soft, floppy) ears..

معرفی نژاد سگ کورد (کورد ماستیف-پژدر-پشدر) (kurd mastiff pshdar)

نژاد سگ کوردی یا همان پژدر ، قدیمی ترین سگ آسیاست که سابقه 5000 ساله دارد.

این نژاد از زمان تمدن بابلیان و آشوریان در منطقه بین النهرین که اولین تمدن های بشر در آنجا شکل گرفت ، دارای اهمیت بوده و در کتیبه های به جا مانده از این تمدن ها ، تصاویر نژاد کوردی یا همان پژدر که برای شکار و محافظت از آنها استفاده می کردند نقش شده است.

نژاد سگ کوردی به دلیل قدرت بدنی بسیار بالا و پرخاشگری در مسابقات جنگ و همچنین برای محافظت از گله ها و خانه ها از آن استفاده میشود.

ویژگی بارز ظاهر آنها ،پوست شل و آویزان صورت است که این نژاد را با دیگر سگ ها متمایز میکند.

آناتومی بدن پژدرها به شکل ماهی است. یعنی در قسمت جلو سینه ،پهن و ستبر، ود قسمت کمر باریک میشود.

دارای گردن نسبتا بلند و دمی افراشته بر روی پشتشان هستند.

صدای غرش بسیار مهیب و ترسناکی دارند و در مواجه با افراد غریبه کاملا تهاجمی و پرخاشجو و خطرناک هستند. بنابراین نیاز است که لز دوران تولگی اجتماعی شوند.

میانگین عمر پژدر بستگی به میزان جنگ آنها دارد. اگر به طور مستمر از آنها در مسابقات جنگی استفاده شود عمری در حدود 6 تا 8 سال دارند. اما اگر کمتر در جنگ شرکت کنند در حدود 13 و بیشتر هم عمر میکنند.
